CO-06 Supernova

Supernova is a highly fluid, creamy white, translucent glaze with a crystalline surface like ice in glass.

The glossy glaze surface is opalescent and ranges from white to a slightly creamier color.

Number of Layers: 4 layers

This glaze performs best in the 5th cone, but can be fired in the 6th cone. For best results, leave the inside or back of the mold unglazed.

It can be fired in a normal, medium-speed oven without requiring a special cooling program.

To take the effect of this glaze to the next level, use a controlled cooling program to enhance crystal growth. These glazes tend to run, so we recommend stopping your glaze approximately 1.2 cm above foot level. You can also use plate guards or feet to protect the kiln racks.
